Illustrated Epistle Extract: The Rats

I write this as we have insulation pumped into our old villa’s timber walls. I wonder what the rats and mice think of this. Apparently, New Zealand is having a rodent explosion and many of them seem to be at our house.

I’m a little late in writing, because I just got back from a road trip to the top of the South Island to see my good friend, Jane. She and her husband run an illustration, photography and design business in Mapua, about 430 km (267 miles) from Lyttelton.
